THE Niklas Hjalmarsson Super Collector, Verified T
As many of you know, I've been putting together the 2003-04 ITG Used Signature Series Triple Memorabilia set for a handful of years. The going had been slow up to this past fall, when my favorite eBay seller, north-of-7, seemingly came upon a goldmine of them in the last nine months or so. When I moved for my job (late August), I was about halfway on the set. But, largely thanks to Robyn (and a couple members here!), I have finally received the final pieces to my long-awaited set!
Of course, the final card had to have a story attached, because that's just fitting for how this set came together.
When I first contemplated putting the set together, a copy of the Sundin popped up on eBay (may have been from Robyn, too, I think) and went for a very low price. Even at that point, I thought about how I should have grabbed it.
All these years later, this is the first copy I have seen since. Even though it cost more than three times what that first copy sold for, I was not about to let my set killer slip away, and with it, potentially years of waiting for another, given its scarcity.
While the Sundin has the better story, the Parent also gave me troubles, as the only other copy I can recall having seen was (and still is) listed on eBay for about five times what it's worth. So, it was great to see Robyn post one for a reasonable price!
Alright, now to show the final two pieces of the puzzle!

BAM!
Parent /45
Sundin /15 (tied for rarest in the set)
Also, neat to see a two-color sock piece. Don't think I'd ever seen that on a card before!
Yes, I will eventually get around to showing the whole set. I don't have an actual scanner, so that will need to wait until I go to my folks' house next.
Thank you for the view and for joining me on this journey! Feels so so good to FINALLY put this one to bed!
