Maybe there will be an incrfease in goals due to less players willing to slide into 90mph shot.

I like the new rule and the NHL should do the exact same thing.

Minor Hockey rules changes in BC this year regarding head checks. Even accidental head contact is now an automatic penalty. Heck they even have the refs wearing neck guards as of this year too. A real emphasis on the whole head contact issue. Time will tell if it makes a difference.

This goes right along with the automatic penalty on a highstick regardless of intent. It would also be a proactive approach to getting headshots out of the game rather simply reactive (fines and suspensions).
