Dominik Hasek left the opening game with a leg injury. Apparently details are sketchy at best but Vokoun has taken the reigns and I think he's more than capable of carrying the Czechs.

Hasek is getting up there in age, I am shocked but not really shocked by how many players have pulled groins or hurt there lower body this year. I guess then it would be interesting to see the break down of injuries from previous years to see if it just seems like more guys are pulling their groins or hurting their leg or is just I am looking for excuses as to why the players should have not let last season goto waste. Hate to see a great talented player like Hasek go down but like Wes144 said Vokoun is a very good goalie.

This won't be a problem to the Czechs as it will be to Ottawa. Hopefully, he'll recover in time for the playoffs. As for what will happen if Emery becomes the number 1, I can see Ottawa going for a defenseman in exchange for Antoine Vermette.
