Flea market pickups and a collection milestone

Went down to the Flea Market here in Calgary today and picked up a few Sakic items for the collection. Sorry if the pics aren't that great.

FIrst up..found this and snagged it for $4.00

A video from 1996,the Avalanche's Stanley Cup winning season.

Next,I picked up a few cards..lot's of food issues (Kraft) and European issues. Just a glimpse of them.

Among these, I picked up a Joe Sakic patch..no not a patch card..a patch.

and finally,the snag of the day............................

A full regular season ticket (mint condition) from '97.The game was The Colorado Avalanche against the Tampa Bay Lightning..and oddly enough..Sakic is on the ticket...holding up the Cup )

This was picked up for $9.00. It was part of a major trade.

The milestone I was talking about,I now have 500+ Sakics in the collection.Been a long time reaching this,but I have a feeling I'm just beginning.Thanks for the look all.Comments are always welcome.

I think those Season Patches are so neat.I have a lot of them(about 500) but I have been looking for a Roenick and a Shannahan from the 92-93 set for years for my two sons collections.Great haul.Thanks,Winston.

Great stuff Justin, you added a lot of unique items to the Sakic PC. Congrats on reaching the 500 mark. I'll soon be closing in on that milestone with my Burke PC.

Was the Sakic patch cheap? Reason I ask is that I am looking for the Yzerman, Gretzky, Mario, and Sakic from that series so I can make a few shirts..lol Are they plentiful up there in your neck of the woods?

The patch cost me $10.There are a few there,but didn't bother to look.I'm going next weekend again,so I'll record what ones are there and I'll fill you all in with a PM come Sunday.

Did you just get a copy of Landslide now? I find that hard to believe being an Av's guy!

I like the Sakic ticket stub and Nords patch the best. What card is that Sakic lower left though in the photo? Never seen that one before?

Barrie-Thanks for the comments.The card you are asking about is a European Issue.I've never seen this one beefore either.As for the Avs video,I din't becoem a true Avs fan until 1998 or so, before I was really into the team.
