Its a shame really, I sent the trader (wasn't done on here) a message about it. I really don't see how that got overlooked, especially the back. I'll put myself in line with the disappointed traders this week LOL

And in case you were wondering, heres the one i gave up for it, in absolute top shape and i went out of my way to get a super high quality scan to show its condition.

I still say you got a great deal. For a 'Beezer card? C'mon man!

Most of those BAP cards had some damage. I had a Patrick Roy stick and still got something like $400 for it and the buyer was thrilled to get it when I sent it to him. It too had that same chipping.
 
but did you tell him about the chipping?

I knew that it was common with that set, but that doesn't mean i should expect it when getting the cards. My beef is more with the fact that he didn't say anything about it rather than the chipping itself.

Seeing as the trader didn't mention the chipping all along the back edge! Either means, he didn't think it important! Or he really didn't have a clue! :eek:

Anyways, the front side is very nice! So that being the case! Only show off the front! ;)

I knew going in that this set was common for chipping, but I didn't expect it since it wasn't mentioned.

oh well at least it wasn't a $500 deal :rolleyes:
 
Im going for the master set of memorabilia from millennium and every single one I have seen is either chipped on the back and/or creased around the swatch like Chris mentioned. I would be very happy with that card and if you arent I will gladly take it off your hands. Finding these millennium game-used cards is really tough.
 
oh its not going anywhere, I've already put it in my binder. I guess I shouldn't be disappointed with it if thats the way they all are. Are there any other sets besides donruss preferred that were notorious for being damaged so I'll know what to look out for?

thanks for all the comments guys, I've talked with the trader and things are cool all over :) Condition isn't so important now that I've had a chance to reflect on the situation since its going in my binder anyways, and hey, thats almost 50 different fleury gu's now :D

Mike I've had that beezer for years now & it was actually part of my 86 opc set i've been working on (read not touched in 2 years) lol. So the 2nd nice one I see, I'll drop you a line :p
 
all the Millennium CuJo's I have have some sort of chipping because its such a sensitive set but the back of that Fleury is just ridiculous.
For a trader at least not to mention that is borderline criminal.
I've purchased/traded for damaged cards before but I've always been notified of flaws in the card.

At least you didn't trade too much for it.
