I know someone out there is more knowledgeable with the flickr revolution and I just need some help to make this as painless as possible.

I put all my Ultimate Signature Masterpieces in one "Album" but I should have done 3 folders, one for each "set".... How do I make 3 folders inside of 1 album?

1. I want to re-create my Rangers PC Show thread or at least a flickr folder album....

--I want to upload my Rangers cards in separate folders basically as I mentioned before with my USM set: UD Game Jerseys, Signature Sensations, Rookie Breakouts, Patches, then put all the other Ranger cards by brands together or by player maybe in separate folders WITHIN one album.

Can I upload straight into the folder/album I create or does it always go on your Photostream by default?

Do I create all the folders I need and then put them in an album before I start uploading?

Any suggestions how to do this so I'm not throwing cards across the room?

I'm not looking forward to the HOURS of work ahead.

Thanks in advance.

For the first part, you can't have multiple folders within the albums. It sucks, but that's the way Flickr is. You'll need to create separate albums for each type of cards you want to organize. You can then organize the order of the albums, but that's the best you can do.

It may help, it may not, but here's my Flickr albums for an example:

So for your sets, you'll have to create different albums for each: UD Game Jersey's, Signature Sensations, Patches, Etc, Etc. You can also create different Ranger Players PC's in their own separate albums.

When looking to create/upload into the albums, you can do that at the same time.

When you click upload and select a photo, select "Add To Albums" which will then bring up a menu showing your available albums. Click on the album(s) you want the photo(s) to appear in and you'll see a green checkmark beside the album. Click upload and you're done.

If you want to create a new album, follow the same steps except when you go to select an album, click "create new album" and you'll be given the opportunity to name & create this brand new albums. Once you do that and click upload, the photo will appear in your newly created album.

I don't think this will take hours. It just takes some time to get used to. Plus if you have your card scans already available (you can download your albums from Photobucket), it shouldn't be too bad.

Let me know if this helps or you have anymore questions! Hopefully this makes sense. :)

I've tried to create the albums then do the uploading but I can't save a new album without adding at least 1 image.

Do I have to do all my uploading first then create the albums and do all the separating?

No,you don'the have to do any separating if you do as crease collector suggested and upload all your photos for one given album at a time. I feared the thought of this also, but it wasn't too bad. Upload, create new album, name it and add to it. Then repeat for other albums. One issue I found was the order of everything doesn'the always stay the same. There is no way to order by filename, which is kind of painful.

Are you trying to arrange the photos by filename or the albums?

For individual albums go under edit in organizr (albums and collections) and select, drag and drop as needed. For individual files select an album and go under arrange and select alphabetically from the pull down menu.

Not sure if that's what you mean

Terry,

If you edit your album in "Organizr" you can arrange your photos alphabetically... or a few other ways. Just make sure to hit save after you select the option you want.

Exactly!!

Alphabetically works, thanks. If only I had my photo bucket organized that way lol. Now, I can't seem to find the drag and drop within the albums. Any ideas?

While in organizr you can drag and drop the albums as mentioned and you can drag and drop individual photos within that album the same way once you select an album in organizr. You have to save after dragging and dropping pics.

I remember doing this on my computer, but don't think it works on my tablet. Weird!
