Flickr Questions

My flickr is again acting up, telling me I have an unsupported browser.

Does anyone use Windows 10? I really hate upgrading and changing stuff on my computer, but is this a necessary upgrade?

I have a saved Bookmark from my old flickr with hundreds of cards and my Rangers PC as a collection, I can I move this over to the new account?

Thanks for the help. This might be a long night.
 
I use windows 10 without any issues. You shouldn't have to move anything, just use a recent browser. Are you using an older internet explorer? You could try google chrome or update and use edge. I use edge for most things, but resort to chrome for the odd thing still.

I would try this method OP.

I currently use Chrome and Flickr has always worked fine for me on this browser.
 
I have an older browser, so I need to upgrade.

Once I upgrade will that old Bookmark link then work? Right now when I try to upload to an album it won't work, and I can't create a new one.

Using the new link, all functions are as normal. It just won't cross over my old albums (HUNDREDS OF SCANS).
 
I don't know what to do anymore......... I downloaded Google Chrome, and still the same problems.

My original Flickr with HUNDREDS of scans, will not open up or allow me to add or edit any images and it will not work with Chrome either.

All the images are there, but I can't delete or add anything to my "traders bucket"

I really really really don't want to do this over as my Rangers PC thread will likely not work, and that is years in the making...

Anyone with ideas?

I was thinking the same thing. If you are maxed out on the free hosting, you will have to delete some pics in order to add new ones or upgrade to a pro account.

Nevermind, I see you are under 400 photos. Have you tried contacting them to see if they can help?
 
When it says browser, it means that the internet navigator that you are using, or the version, is no longer supported.
This really sounds like you are on Internet Explorer, on the version that was made on pre-touch pads. I am on that version, too. While most sites work, some don’t. I have navigated over to Chrome for the ones that don’t, such as Hulu. I haven’t been on flickr in a while on the laptop, so this could have been unsupported as well.

Best way to get around this is to download the latest version of Internet Explorer, or use an alternate search engine. Good luck, & I haope that helps.
 
So can you access the Flickr site with your current Browser setup, just not YOUR Flickr page (with all your albums, scans, etc)?

Using an updated broswer like Google Chrome (what I'm on currently) should work.

If i use the bookmark ive saved it opens but i cant edit or add. If i do add, it forwards me to a new Flickr page.
 
When using a different browser, log into your account and use that link. It might not be recognizing the previous link because of this. Flickr may have signed you out for some reason, also, which would make you unable to edit or anything to your account. If you are logged in, log out & back in to reset things.
 
I've tried opening the 'saved bookmark link" with Internet Explorer (views great, I can see all the folders but not deleting). Also using Google Chrome- automatically forwards me to my "new" flickr trader bucket which has about 5% of the total traders I have, basically anything new.

I can't seem to be able to link the "past" with the "future" no matter how I do this.

I just want to bring my Rangers Folders, Ult Signature Masterpieces folders forward to the new flickr, then delete all my other folders. I can start a new traders.

BUT WHY CANT I DELETE ANYTHING AFTER I ADD IT? Good Lord I am losing my mind.
 
One thing I noticed tonight:

When I open the flickr link with Internet Explorer, I can view all my folders, but instead of the "edit" icon on each image, its replaced with a "Favorite" star icon, as if I'm not even logged into my own account.

When I open my flickr with Google Chrome, it jumps straight to the "new flickr" and I can't see any of my Rangers folders or other PC folders I've made. I can however, edit the newer images I've uploaded but none of the older ones.

THIS IS SOOOOOOOOO STUPID!

I was having issues with Flickr similar to yours until today. When I opened my bookmark link I could see my albums and scans, and even pull in the codes to send to HI, but every time I hit the download arrow to add new scans it took me to an older free Flickr account. I couldn't add any new scans to my Pro account. Today I needed to sign in to my Google account for something, and boom, all of a sudden I could download scans again. Near as I can figure it I think it has to do with Google vs Yahoo browsing sign ins and email id's. Hope this makes some sense, I'm not 100% sure what happened, but signing into my Google account was the only change I made today.
 
Funny...My old flickr actually started working on Friday.... Inlogged out and signed back in just to try again and boom....

Ive been busy deleting old scans and adding new cards all qeekend
 
I know they recently changed something with the Yahoo logins, or made them mandatory or opinion, one of the two. So that lead up may have messed some stuff up with some accounts.
