For all you eBayers,how do you ship slabbed cards

Just curious how the most of you ship the slabbed cards. I am in the process of shipping some ITG Ultimate and I would like to keep them some what protected but also keep the weight down as well. I have received lots of slabbed cards and everyone seems to just wrap them in the invoice paper and place them in a padded envelope. Do you think that this is all a person needs to do? I am nervous about the slab getting broken during the mail service. Any thoughts would be greatly appriciated.Thanks,Winston.:)
 
Double bagged - the slab just fits inside a #000 padded mailer, and THAT fits inside a #0 padded envelope. It'll still fit as "oversized letter", and not one has arrived damaged.

Thanks a lot for the information there Steve.I guess it would not hurt to use some of the used #000 for inside the #00.Thank,Winston.:)
 
It won't fit inside a #00. The difference between a #000 and #00 seems to be only the length of the envelope. The #0 is actually large enough to accomodate the #000 inside it.

Steve,I just did 3 and yes the #000 do fit inside the #00 or at least the ones I have.Thanks,Winston:)
 
some 000 are cut different than others. i found that out when i used to buy from multiple suppliers,but when i found the one 000 that will accept the slap, i stuck with them. You may have to use 00 inside a 1 or so.
 
I just received an UM9 card in the mail from canucksfan77 and he did an excellent packaging job.

He put the card in a graded card sleeve. Then put two decoys on each side, completely covering the front and back surfaces of the slab, and then wrapped tape around the decoys. Very secure and instructive. Thanks Craaaaazy JZ!
 
Huh. And here I was thinking that those numbers represented some manner of standardization. More the fool me, I guess.
 
I was sending them out in 000 mailers with cardboard inside, but just getting myself an edjamacation from the Q, I'm going to start placing them inside 00s to add extra protection.

Double bagging...anyone else feel like they're in high school again?

Depends, it's either paper or plastic, or would you like fries like that? :p
 
I`ve both and sold a few slabbed cards, mostly BGS.Only once i received a cracked one and only once the buyer got it crack.

I dont use `extra protection`, i just put the slab in postcard soft sleeve, then a graded card team bag, into a 000 mailer.

Even if you use a second mailer, if they run over it with the lift or truck its going to get cracked.
