Futera Football ( Soccer ) cards

Just wondering if there is anybody on her who has knowledge of Futura football cards ?

I collect anything I can Steven Gerrard wise and discovered the Futura checklists for previous years quite by accident - there are about 10 cards over the last 8 years that I've never even seen.

I do quite well with the UK issues ( Merlin, Topps, Panini etc ) but never seen any of these Futura cards at all

If anyone can shed any light on them, where to get them or what they look like it would be most appreciated

Singles aren't easy to track down as most of their product is huge $$$ and extremely limited (100 Cases or less on most products). I've been searching for a few of the F1 racing singles (40 cases produced) for the past year or so and rarely see any pop up.

FYI, there's a couple Gerrards currently live on the 'bay

Many thanks for your help - you know what, the reason I've not turned up any Gerrard cards is because I've been spelling Futera wrong in my searches on Ebay !!!

Now I've got Futera instead of Futura I see the Gerrard cards ..... I'm going to pick up some of the base cards ASAP and might have a look at the GU items too.

I saw the F1 cards too - very interesting.

I started an F1 autograph collection a couple of years back - only got as far as Mansell, Brundle, Blundell & Sterling Moss before I got bored and put it on the back burner.

Futera is an Australian outfit. I first heard of them in the mid 90s when they were making sets for the Australian Baseball League (Winter Ball) and Aussie Rules Football. I have noticed that they've gone high end on an AFL and F1 stuff. I do remember them doing football/soccer sets and as Darren mentioned, they go for big $$$$
 
I remember collecting the Newcastle United set in the Mid to Late 90's, no GU'd or Autos in that Set but they did make for some nice TTM Autos :D

Cards are out of this world nice.
They do a great job but boxes are extremely expensive.

Thanks for all the responses - started being able to find more Gerrard Futera cards now ..... just won the same jersey card that Avalanchefan posted, going after another over the weekend.

Ken - great to see you around, some awesome cards there ( always like seeing the Poyet ..... what did that set you back ? ) How come there is no sign of your DB # / 7 there ? Have you moved it on ? I'm sure Avalanchefan would love to see it ........ don't post your home address or he may be breaking in !!

I also have the 07/08 Shoot Out Star Player - but I've forgotten to scan it ! Plus I have the 07/08 Shoot Out Man Of The Match card en route, along with the Futera jersey.

I haven't scanned my England cards and stickers yet - they're next !!

Nice cards mal! What Becks /7 does he have?

I'll be scanning some of my soccer cards soon. I collect Schweinsteiger, Podolski, Kaka, Beckham, Real Madrid, and German players.

Ha ha, yep that's the card I remember !!

Thought Ken might have moved it during Beckham mania last year - I think the sticker auto ruins the design, but I can't deny how stunning it is to own a Beckham auto #/7.

I own a couple of TTM Beckham autos, never sure of their authenticity which is why they stay in my collection.

Ken - if you read this before your PM, get in touch with me about two Futera Spurs 1/1 autos I may have located

I just broke a box of 30-04 MLS the other day, check it out in the show and tell thread.

Also, how can you complain about a Becks auto, band-aid, hard-signed... thats awesome!

I actually think the card is cool with the sticker.
 
The Becks was pulled by me from Upper Deck mini playmakers.
I really liked all the Man U. upperdeck releases.

Thought I would share this week's Gerrard haul with you - the Futera are both from Ebay, the Match Attax from Merlin direct ( why spend $20 on Ebay when you can order it direct for $0.75 !! )

I am very disappointed in the design work of Futera, very bland ..... but definitely happy to include them in my Gerrard collection.

Thought I would share these again too - my very own Liverpool auto collection, designed and produced by me :-) Haven't made any for a little while, but here's 3 that I have completed.
