Doubt they will trade him to their own conference, let alone their own division

He'll definitely be traded at some point, or test the market after season's end. I agree, the system there is not ideal for him - he needs to be in a more offensive minded system, then he'll really explode (should injuries not plague him).

If they don't trade him soon it will be a distraction for both him and the team all season, I'm pretty sure both sides have said they do not want that.

Minny has already said if they couldn't sign him, he'd be traded right away. If he's turning down that kind of money, he obviously wants out. Rumor is the Canucks and Habs might make a play for him....

As bad as Vancouver needs a dynamic scoring winger I don't want to see him there, if he somehow ends up in Montreal he could be the final piece to a Stanley Cup capable team.

That could be an interesting scenario if he were to go to Montreal. I'm rooting for the Habs this year from the standpoint of my hockey pool.

Its nothing to do with the money its the team/system he is stuck playing under..he has had enough....wouldn't be suprised to see Toronto pick him up...they have 10 million cap space!
