Gamers...what are you playing right now?

Went back to Spiderman 3 which I'd started about a year ago and got about 10% through before I put it down. Felt like playing something Sandbox-ish and figured now was as good a time as any to pick it up again.

Game isn't so good honestly. It's a damn shame since Spiderman 2 for PS2 caused me to have a $30 late bill at Blockbuster when it came out a few years back. It's nice for one reason in that you can do the whole game at your own pace (there isn't time of day sensitive missions like GTA IV) but the controls can be a bit confusing at times and the camera angles (especially when you're crawling) end up being a huge hindrance.

I was really impressed with Dead Space (think Reseident Evil in space). Was quite entertaining and had a very dark suspenseful feel to it. The only issue I had was it's a little on the short side but replay value is decent.

It's friggin' scary how much you and I have in common. Cars, games, you name it. I just picked up Dead Space this weekend, can't wait to give it a shot.

I haven't had too much time over the years to play as many games as I'd like. Several months ago, however, I picked up RE4 for the PS2. I played that just about every day! I also played through the game several times.

My wife bought me RE5 (RE is my favorite game series, btw) last month for my birthday for the 360. That was my first game for my 360, which has been collecting dust for some time. I've been playing that a lot. At first I wasn't sure if I'd like it. Don't get me wrong...graphics are great and the gameplay is great. It just didn't have that usual RE feel.....plus, it was so frenzied for a while at the beginning that it didn't seem fun (gasp!). Things have settled down a bit and I am liking it a lot more. I guess I was hoping for the same feel with RE4, which is probably one of the best games I've ever played, IMHO.

A couple days ago, I went to a local store and picked up Lego Star Wars Complete Saga and COD2 for cheap. I've played a little of each so far and they seem very fun!

I see people talking about Dead Space. That one sounds interesting!

Thanks for the read!!

been playing nhl 09 since it came out, but since my friend at ea said theres no playoffs for the eashl league, i was on top team for ps3, i quit early last week and been playing socom and since ufc came out today will be playing that for while now

ufc is sick.

Just beat Bully Scholarship Editon, not too long of a game, but fun while it lasted. Now to 100% and beyond

I just rented Fallout 3 and have been playing it on and off all week. For those that haven't played it, it is quite neat for an RPG...but the problem is I have never been a fan of that game style to get into it completely.

In many ways, the game is very unique as the kill scenes are quite cool and gory I guess, but what I like about that is that it will only get that way if you have a strategy in place...otherwise the shoe is on the other foot.
But I find it easy to get lost in some of the towns..even with a map. It doesn't help being stalked by killers in the ghost towns either. :)

But the neatest part is having to sneak into people's houses to steal food if your energy levels are down. If you can find food in the fridge and steal it without any of the owners seeing then its a savior for your beaten and worn down body. But if you get caught, prepare for the village to hunt you down....and if they catch you then prepare to be beaten to death....lol...no seriously!
The key is to have a 2nd backup save to go back to if such a thing happens.

Overall, the game's not superb but definitely addictive and worth the weekly rent.

Next I plan to pickup Godfather 2 next week as part of a long-term committment. :)

Well, I traded it in and just bought it again for 20 Bucks. Game is fun online, huge maps and decent sized games(12v12). Single player is a little blah, but once again maps are insanely huge.

I think it's worth a rental or a purchase if you can spare 20 bucks

Nick

How is it? I've picked it up a bunch of times at the store, looked at it, thought about it and then put it back.

Thanks. I just picked up Dead Space and Godfather 2 so Bad Company will have to wait a while.

I just picked up Godfather 2 for PS3 on Friday and wow is this game fun! The extortion and revenge tactics are awesome!

If your a fan of the mafia genre, then this is a must own game for any platform!
I can't wait to get home to play it. I now have three ruthless soldiers in my crew that even scare me. :)

You guys ever played a game that just won't let you acknowledge you're beating it? I'm up to the Kingpin in Spiderman 3, and twice I've reached a point where I'm about to beat him where he has very little life left. The first time the game glitched and put him through the roof of his office so I couldn't get to him and had to restart. The second time as I was about the beat him, the game LOCKED UP AND FROZE. What the hell??

I'm actually playing Conan for PS3, it's not a bad game at all, especially for $10. should be finished tonight, it's probably like an 8-10 hour game.

Also just picked up Metallica, Walmart already dropped the pice by $25, it was $45.00.

Wow really? It must not be selling well at all. GH Aerosmith was on sale at EB for $4.99 brand new a couple months back...maybe I should keep an eye on the game now.
