Woke up to see this news this morning.

An apparent suicide for the current manager of Wales at the age of 42.
From all accounts a class player, manager, friend and dad.
An all time favourite in the Toon, he will be sorely missed by us fans but more importantly his wife and two boys.

His funeral will surely be a who's who of football.

Why?

This happend around 8 miles from where I live.

Gary was born in the same area as me (same hospitail in fact)and I have had the pleasure of watching him play for my team Bolton Wanderers.

He was the manager of my National side and is a great loss to the world.

I wish he had someone he could have talked to.

RIP,

He was one of my favorites when he played with Newcastle. You realize how powerful depression can be when you see someone who had everything going for him and a family take his own life.
