Gaudreau redemption question

Hello folks,

I've been waiting for a Gaudreau 2014/15 Masterpieces rookie auto #'d/30 since October 2015. After waiting 3 years I called UD customer support of the Christmas holidays.

They informed me that there was no hope of getting that card and would replace it. They asked me who I collect and I let them know that I'd like a Gaudreau of equal value, and that I also collect Monahan and Tkachuk.

They also said that as I waited so long they would include something for being extremely patient.

So here's what I received: Gaudreau OPC auto rookie and a Toews UD Premier Signature Champions.



I do like the Toews, but he's a player I don't collect. The Johnny is a low end OPC rookie that can be picked up for less than $20.

Question for the group: Do you think that this is a fair replacement?

I think they put in the Toews cause they didn't have anything else of Gaudreau. Now did they have anything of Monahan or Tkachuk, more than likely. Which only asks why would they give you a player you do not have interest in when they even stated that you been waiting too long
