GDT: Canada vs US IIHF Worlds

Game is already over, Canada won 4-3 in a shootout. I recorded it and I'm watching the game, if you watched it, how in the heck was the US even in this game? If you look at the rosters, the US had no business even being on the ice with the Canadians, let alone going to OT with them. I expected a huge blowout, I am absolutely shocked at the score.
 
50 shots to 20......US was in the game on the score clock, after you watch it you will see that Canada dominated the entire game.

Im just reading your slap in the face to Team USA that we had no business on the ice. Got a question for you...Where is your Blackhawk Patrick Kane? Oh yeah, he chose vacation over playing for the worlds. JVR loses on Friday and the 1st thing he did after the Boston series was take the 1st flight to Slovakia and scores a goal and 7 shots in today's loss.

Point of my rant: The World Championships is a voluntary tournament for NHL players. There is nothing we can do about rosters, some chose vacation, some choose to recover injuries, but give some credit where its due that a very star depleted USA roster took your team to the limit.
 
I actually shake my head at those who decline, unless there is a severe injured that needs rest after a long season. Maybe it's just me, but I feel it's a tremendous honor just to be asked to play for your country.

As much as people (mostly North-Americans) whine about the World Championships, they're still the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS, imho.
 
Conklin definitely keep them in the game. I was pretty impressed though with Jack Skille, and a couple other young guys on the US. Also pretty shocking that Duchene is struggling right now.

A. If you want to take a pot shot at me, more power to you, but you might want to get your facts straight first. Here on HI they have this really neat feature where they put where you live right under your user name. Unless Canada invaded the US recently and took control of Washington, I am in the US and I sure as hell ain't a fan of Team Canada.

B. Please show me an article where it proves Kane was even invited to join the US team and he said no so he could go on vacation.

C. Funny how you only bring up Patrick Kane and JVR. Why didn't you bring up Oshie or Backes or Kessel or Carlson or Miller or Ryan or Brown or Goligoski or Gionta or Gomez or......

Why didn't you bring up any other US players? Oh, that's right, because it's all about how terrible and unpatriotic the Blackhawks are and how awesome the Flyers are. You just can't get over the Cup loss can you? Maybe Kane was invited, but he couldn't make it. Probably too busy at the jeweler getting his Stanley Cup ring and Olympic Medal shined up right? Or is he too busy beating up cabbies?

PS: What a jerk that Matt Carle is, guess he's not as cool as his US brother JVR? But you're right, it's just that evil guy Kane, guess we should deport him and take away his citizenship. Oh yeah, when do Briere, Carter, Richards, Timonen, Coburn, Meszaros, Leino, Giroux, and the rest of the cool guys flying over to join their respective teams?

and Briere can not play for Canada - he refused to play for the Candiens... LOL
 
Im not reading the garbage above, so does anyone have a list of the rosters?

I watched a late game a few nights ago, and I have 2 things to say:

1) I liked Stepan in his rookie year, but he looks absolutely BEASTLY playing with players on his level (age wise). I cant wait for this kid to mature.

2) I am actually glad we dont have those wide euro rinks. It looked like soccer on ice, just lots of long passing and keep away. The NHL is more like indoor soccer, a 'WTF mode' of professional hockey....

Anyway yeah, roster? I dont even know what this tourney is for or about, so a roster would be sweet... All I can find are the 'juniors-only' rosters that were released month back.

EDIT: I lied, I read the ranting. Good stuff kids, keep it coming. I like me a good sitcom..

I guess you forgot to read the point in my post. You know, the part where I said the tourny is voluntary. I just really annoyed at the "no business on the ice" part of your post. No matter what country your from, you are one the loudest poster on this board. Thank God I only have to read what you write and not hear it. Yes, I called out Kane just to ruffle your feathers because it worked.
