BLUE JACKETS (5-12-3) at BLACKHAWKS (17-0-3)

Last 10: Columbus 2-6-2; Chicago 9-0-1

Season series: Third of four meetings between these Central Division rivals. The Blackhawks have already claimed a pair of one-goal victories. Jonathan Toews scored the game-winner in a 3-2 win in Chicago on Jan. 26, while Andrew Shaw had the only goal and Corey Crawford stopped 28 shots in a 1-0 win in Columbus on Feb. 24.

Big story: Can anything stop these Blackhawks? Injuries to key players, tough divisional road games, back-to-back situations -- whatever obstacles Chicago has faced over the first 20 games this season, they've managed to get at least a point out of every one. Will the underdog Blue Jackets be the ones to end the streak?
 
I don't agree with Mason getting an empty net goal, but I do agree tonight is the night the Blackhawks lose. Last nights game against the Blues was a very physical affair, it looked like the Blues didn't even bother trying to win in the third period, they just wanted to take a piece of every guy on the ice every shift. Hawks are banged up, and missing their second line center (Bolland) for a few games has been very noticeable. I hope they find a way to win but Columbus has played the Hawks very tough in the first two meetings.
 
Hawks should have no problem beating the Blue Jackets tonight, more worried about Sunday afternoon against the Wings.
 
Didnt realize the Jackets were that banged up, they still seem to play the Hawks tough. I am always worried about the Wings, doesn't matter how good or bad the Hawks are, the Wings always find a way to win.
 
That Columbus team is scrappy, full credit to them especially with all the injuries they have. Hawks better find another gear Sunday, of all the teams they could lose the streak against the Wings would be the toughest to stomach.

Any news on what's wrong with Bolland? All I can find is the usual "upper body injury" which doesn't mean much these days.

That's what they going for. Work hard and never give up. Last year. they sucked and it was a cake walk for the other teams. This year, they play hard make the other team earn their W. If they can somehow add a scorer, they could be some what good.

I think they could be a very good team in a couple of years. They have lots of good young players. If Prospal is your leading goal scorer something is wrong.

Prospal was good for us last season as well so him leading the way isn't to bad. What's more pathetic is Tyutin(a defensemen) and Letestu(who didn't even make the opening day roster and then made it on the 3rd/4th line but eventually earned more minutes) is tied with Prospal in points.
