It was six years ago today that I saw my very first-ever Habs game in person, as they took on and lost to the Vancouver Canucks. The only real highlights of that game which stick in my memory is the Canucks having a 3-on-0 against Jose Theodore and failing to get a shot on goal, and the Habs drawing first blood and me high-fiving just about everybody in my section around me!
Tonight, however, it's a much different task at hand. The bleu, blanc, rouge have to overcome a bunch of injuries to face a tough Devils team that is faring quite well, thank you very much, in the absence of all-world goaltender Martin Brodeur. It's always a tough match-up in the swamp for the Habs, so here's looking forward to a good game and extending the winning streak to 4!
Tonight's a big night for one young Montreal Canadiens prospect. Max Pacioretty will make his NHL regular season debut, playing on a line with Kyle Chipchura and Steve Begin. I've already sent an email to UD asking whether it's still possible for Max Pacho to be eligible for inclusion in Artifacts or UD2. Here's hoping!
