Must not be much interest in this one but I must say this has been a ton of fun so far.

The John Scott Saga and the new format made me at least a bit curious so I have been watching all afternoon so far. First game was good but largely uneventful - Jagr was a blast to watch.

Closing in on the end of the second game and John Scott (with the help of Pavelski and Burns) have made this game. Lots of action back and forth and Scott has (so far) pumped in a pair of goals.

I am very much enjoying these games.

I'm watching it Joe, so much for all the experts picking the Central to smoke everyone. Now, if Captain Serious was there.....

Love the new format, and throwing a $1 million dollar prize out there has added some hustle for sure. I can't believe that no talent goon John Scott scored a couple of goals including a sweet breakaway snipe. What a shame that he took a roster spot from a "real hockey player". ;)

After he scored his first goal Scott should have looked up to the suites and given Bettman the finger on his way back to the bench.

His two goals and that little scrap with Kane has been more entertaining than any other All-Star game I've watched.

I hope he gets MVP.

Just like in Dumb and Dumber...

"Just when I thought you couldn't be any dumber, you go and...totally redeem yourself!"

The NHL made a mess out of this but there is no way it could have worked out better than this.

John Scott is your 2016 NHL All Star MVP!

Definitely the best all star game in years and nice to see Scott take the MVP. That was fun to watch.

Oh Gary, there is no way you could have come out looking any worse. Poetic justice, karma, whatever you want to call it, you sir just got owned!

Super entertaining weekend, I was over the All Star game many years ago, but now it looks like we've got a winner for awhile. Congrats to the Pacific team, and Big John.

I practically had tears in my eyes when they hoisted him up on their shoulders, while the crowd chanted "MVP!!" before he actually won it.

I'm willing to bet that most of his teammates will donate their portion of the prize money to John himself.

This format is much better, we'll be seeing 3-on-3 for a long time to come.

Scott earned his MVP. Scoring two goals and getting the crowd into it like he did generated more excitement in the AS game than we've seen in ages. Hell, the fans cheered louder for him than they did for their own Nashville players. That was awesome to watch.

Oh how I would have loved to see the camera zoom in on Bettman's face when Scott accepted that award

What impressed me, is that this wasn't a case of the time was winding down, and all his teammates were feeding him the puck trying to get him a goal.

He scored 41 seconds into the All-Star game, on his first shift, off a perfect pass from his former teammate. And he buried it.

Makes you realize that these guys actually have skill, no matter what their role is when they get to the NHL.

I have an all new admiration for John Scott. And knowing the people in St John's, when/if he makes his first appearance in the AHL, he is going to be treated like a rock star in that town.

What a weekend!! As Minnie Pearl used to say "Ya'll come back now".

New format was a great change, loved it. It was very cool to be Hockey Town USA for the weekend. Hope Nashville gets the chance again in my lifetime.

I can honestly say the only reason I watched the game was for Scott. Haven't cared about an all star game in a decade. This was fantastic, the goalie pulled at the end, 1-0 game in 20 min of play? Quicks batting the puck out of the air behind him. Ridiculous

2 goals hit on Kane and how good naturedly he took it. Then the MVP. Could feel the vinegar in Bettmans mouth when he waved him out for the check.

Absolutely loved it!

Pacman

lol...the hit on Kane was awesome too. You couldn't have scripted it better. 6'-8" Scott on little Patty Kane, who were former teammates. Former SJ Sharks teammates Burns and Pavelski setting him up for 2 goals, a nice deflection and a breakaway goal.

This is the feel good story of the year, and got tons of interest in the ASG. Winning the MVP (and truck) and getting the $1M cheque for the Pacific was a fairy tale ending for a dream weekend for Scott. Players and coaches rallied in support for Scott, which was totally cool.

If I was the executive that Bettman sent to do the dirty deed, I'd be burying my head in the ground and telling Bettman to do his own dirty work next time.

No one would have guessed the final game of 3-3 all star hockey would end in a 1-0 game. Both teams played hard, the cash prize definitely added incentive for the players.

I bet Scott will be the new favorited player in St John's. He should receive some big cheers when he returns for his first game back.
