The visiting team had prevailed in each of the first two meetings before the Penguins scored a 5-2 victory on home ice on March 11. Pittsburgh's James Neal had 1 goal and 2 assists and Marc-Andre Fleury made 34 saves in the triumph.

Big story: The Northeast Division-winning Bruins are locked into the second seed in the Eastern Conference standings. The Bruins have gone 7-1-1 in the last nine games, allowing just 16 goals over that stretch. The Penguins, meanwhile, are clinging to the fourth seed in the conference with 48 wins and 102 points, one ahead of the fifth-seeded Philadelphia Flyers.

Boston knows that they're going to have to lean on Thomas come playoff time, Turco is getting a fair number of starts these days, this is number 5. Probably see him one more time before the playoffs.

Ference was out matched in every way except heart.. kept throwing them even after taking a couple big licks and scoring the take down...

agree it was a bad call, but hoping someone snaps his head back? I guess no Boston player does some acting to get a call? Bottom line his stick should not have been up then a penalty would not have been called. I am sure the Pens will get a penalty in the third..
