Season series: -- The Penguins and Flames are meeting for the only time this season and just the fourth time since play resumed after the work stoppage in 2005. Pittsburgh won the lone meeting last season, 2-0 at home on March 25.

Big story: -- Sidney Crosby's second trip to Western Canada is even bigger news than his first visit in December 2007. This time, of course, he arrives as the captain of the defending Stanley Cup champions.

"I look forward to playing in great hockey atmospheres, for sure," he said Tuesday at a media scrum. "As a hockey player you look forward to those games.

Who's hot?: -- Crosby has 5 goals in his last three games and scored twice in Minnesota. With 29 goals this season, he's on pace fort the first 50-goal season of his career. … Rene Bourque has scored in three consecutive games for Calgary.

Injury report: -- Forward Chris Kunitz (abdominal surgery) will be out for at least a month for the Pens. … Veteran forward Craig Conroy is ready to return to the Flames' lineup after missing five games due to a foot injury. To make room, forward Jamie Lundmark was sent back to Abbotsford of the AHL.

Apparently Auger is scheduled to officiate this game. It's also on TSN. This one could be getting lots of media attention.

if what Burrows said was true I don't think Auger should be officiating any game. it makes you wander how often this happens in all sports not just the NHL.
