Season Series: This is the second of four season meetings. In the first, former Blackhawk Antti Niemi recorded his only shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory on Nov. 23 in San Jose.

Big Story: The well-rested Hawks, who've had a couple of days off, catch the Sharks on the second night of a back-to-back on the road -- and coming off a 1-0 loss at St. Louis on Saturday night.

Finally got a chance to watch this one. Solid game by both teams, both goalies came up huge when needed. I have to say, I never realized how much of a punk Clowe can be. Hoping the Hawks dress Scott for the next meeting, I doubt Clowe will man up with him though. It's worth the instigator early in the game, Hawks need to take a stand and send a message that you wont get away with that kind of garbage.

I'm just curious. Why doesn't someone like Seabrook step up and fight him? I doubt he'd fight Scott either, but Scott has five inches and 50lbs. on him, and I don't think he is obliged to fight him. Seabrook is only marginally larger then Clowe and seems like a more logical combatant. Just a thought.

It happened at the end of regulation, nothing is going to happen in OT. As for this notion of players are not ” obliged” to fight someone bigger then them, I think thats exactly the problem with this league and fan mentality. You take a cheap shot at two star players like that, you should expect to drop the gloves and be accountable. To say a guy shouldn't pay for it or only fight someone the same size or smaller makes no sense to me at all.

Of course nothing was going to happen at the end of the game, I'm talking about the next game too. If they don't dress Scott someone like Seabrook should nut up like Gaustad did for Buffalo when he challenged Lucic in the following game and fight Clowe.

Seabrook is a bit more valuable then Paul Gaustad, nothing against Paul as I like him a lot. You don't have a top 2 dman who makes that kind of coin drop the gloves with a tough guy and risk an injury. That's why enforcers are on the payroll.
