Season series: This will be the second of two games between the Canadian rivals. The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Edmonton Oilers 6-5 in overtime on Oct. 12. Joffrey Lupul scored with under a minute left to force the extra period before Dave Bolland won it for Toronto.

Big story: The Maple Leafs have a chance to pass the idle Tampa Bay Lightning into sole possession of first place in the Atlantic Division if they pick up a point.

1-0 Leafs after one period. Kessel scores for Toronto. James van Riemsdyk scores on a beautiful pass from Kessel, and Kessel scores his 2nd of the night, and 3rd point, to give Toronto a 3-0 lead after two periods. 24 saves for Reimer so far.
