I have an opinion like anyone else. Do you always feel the need to be an ass? I think you need a :hug:.

You like fairy hockey, and I like rough hockey. What i think is fine, you want a foul like basketball. So why talk, were different people with different views. So don't make this thread go aray.
 
not to get off topic (or start a argument) I generally don't complain about officiating, but is it just me or has it been a complete joke lately. Just look at the last few minutes of the 3rd period for example, there were at least 2 or 3 occasions where a penalty could have been called against pittsburgh (actual legitimate calls) but nothing... then they go and call a (imo) marginal slashing call with 2:02 left in the third against Wash. I've seen it in other games too, reffing has been a horribly inconsistent as far as i'm concerned

I'll say Pittsburgh scores on the PP in OT. Caps have lost 7 straight and 8 of 9 playoff OT games.

The penalty call with 2 minutes to go was correct, although I would like to see away with the penalties on those slashes unless the stick is broken. You could draw a penalty every shift by simply loosely holding onto your stick in hopes that the slightest slash would knock it out of your hands.

I'm not discounting the other player's contributions out there...it's just that those two seem to have that edge that so few ever do.

It's just such a treat that they are both doing it in the same bloody series. I swear, it almost brings me to tears, it is so beautiful to watch.

Oh for sure!! I cant recall a series with two such prolific players, going head to head and rising game in and out.

The emotion Ovie shows, the hard work Sid shows...I love this.

LOL.....Your preaching to the choir now....I'm still pissed about last years officiating in the Pens/Rangers series....iIts unfortunate but its blatanly obvious and true....
 
I'm picking Fedotenko for the GWG.

Regarding the penalty - they had to call it, but its one of those calls that I cringed when it happened.
 
Mike Richards will step onto the ice. His hotness will melt the entire rink. He will destroy the morale of every player on both teams simply by showing them how many girls he gets on an average night. He will then score 75 goals in a span of 4 seconds, all for the Caps. Caps win 79-4 in OT.

I don't know...it's all about point of view. I was sitting here tonight at various times thinking there were too many calls missed on the Caps.

In truth, we all just want our team to win. We're all a bunch of biased fans, so we're probably not the best people to judge the officiating, myself included.
