Hey everyone,

I have a question. What is a good scanner that will scan cards in one touches and will have a nice sharp scan? I bought a Cannon and it seems that all my scans with one touches are really grey looking and not sharp. Any suggestions would be great...
Thanks...

Any of my scan threads for the last year or two were done in a Epson Perfection Photo Scanner (V550). It's about $250 CDN but well worth it. It's the "lens" on the scanner that makes all the difference in CLEAR scans for slabs and one touches.

There are two common types of consumer flatbed scanner—the so-called CIS (Contact Image Sensor) and the CCD (Charge Coupled Device)

CCD is what you want for the slabs and one touches. It's all about "depth of field" in my understanding of it. In a slab/one touch, your card is "off the surface" of the scanner, hence why you need some depth-of-field ability in your scanner. :)
