Not a big trade by any means...and i usually like to make my own decisions, but im not sure about the value of the cheechoo so thought i outta ask:

I get:

CHEECHOO SPX BASE AUTO PARALLEL #d /10

Other Party Gets:

Parise Hot Prospects 2 CLR Auto Patch /349
Parise 04/05 SPA RC /399
(the SPA was given to me for free, so im not losing much)

sooo.... make the trade? or stay away?

thanks,

Dave

It really depends on the motivation for the deal. Do you really need/want the Cheechoo? I'd have a hard time giving up a patch auto rookie of Parise despite the print run on the Cheechoo. The Parise(s) has a lot of room to grow. Whereas the Cheechoo will pretty much be the same or less due to the number of autographs he has.

Personally, I'd pass on the deal.

thanks for the inputt,

There is no real motivation behind the deal, im just looking to switch up some tradebait for the expo, and I my thinking was that there are more Shark fans than people who would be interested in Parise.

Also, when trying to work out some trades last expo... 90% of the dealers popped out the old beckett and looked for BV, the Parise, I feel, is undervalued at only $50 HIGH, and for those stubborn dealers who are dead set on BV, the Cheechoo is a good way to avoid that problem

anyone else have any input??

thakns,

Dave

True about the BV, but also keep in mind that "not priced due to scarcity" is a very tough situation as well. The value placed is subjective to the parties involved.

If you're looking to flip short term, then the Cheechoo is probably the better card. If you're looking to hold, then I feel the Parise is a better value.

I will chime into the other side.

Cheechoo was hurt part of this year - but his rare cards still do well.

If your motivation is to sell the Cheechoo at some time - especially if he approaches last years numbers - than you will come out far ahead with the trade. If it for your private collection - stay with the RC's !!!

If you are looking stictly to trade the Cheech has way more value here then any Devils cards even Broduer. Very little love for the Devils in Canada so if your looking to trade you might comeout ahead. I don't know about eastern Canada but here in the West Cheech is preety popular.

If your looking use it as tradebait, the Cheechoo has much better value I would imagine. That card is "gold" for someone out there.... the Parise is not (because its not that difficult to find). Know what I mean?

The Cheech, would sell better at the expo as his family (Dad and others) search the Expo up and down for his cards.

I would make the deal, only because the Cheechoo would help me land a nice #/10 auto perhaps of one of the guys I collect. Either way, I don't see it as too lop-sided.... Mike
