Be prepared for nausea optimum, Glen Healy, Guy Carbonneu and Kevin Weekes on air commentators? They should fit right in with the bagpipe theme.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought they got hired on to TSN.

That said, anything is better than the garbage on CBC right now

Yeha, anything is better then Pierre McGuire... although I've heard Kevin Weekes on NHL radio on XM, he seems just fine behind a microphone. he should be a good addition.

Weekes is pretty decent on the mic in his XM appearances. Basically anybody who isn't Marc Crawford or Al Strachan is fine with me.

That includes Pierre McGuire.

When McGuire stops his "monster" schtick, he's actually very intelligent. I enjoy listening to him on the local sports radio show as he does know his stuff. Sadly, his "monster" stuff distracts him during the game.

Crawford was getting better and was at the point where I didn't mind if he did the game. I prefer McGuire doing the WJHC as I find his depth of knowledge comes through better in those games. Wasn't Healy on TSN's panel for a long time? He's not my favorite but not the worst. As for the other two I haven't heard them so I'll wait until I've heard them a few times before throwing them under the bus.

I'm so glad I have RDS and that I can watch all the games in French with broadcasters that aren't crappy... except for Benoit Brunet, he sucks and he's gotta go.

I've watched 1 hockey game since the lock out, Yzerman's retirement night, because of all the tools they have doing the games.
Don't miss it one bit.
