My last few mailday posts were kinda weak, so I saved up a whole month this time.
First up…received a spectacular GIFT package from Nate (megaman555). There is no group of cards I curse more than the Nicklas Backstrom 07/08 Artifacts parallels and Nate knocked one off the list for me. It may be the highest numbered of the parallels, but I think it may very well be the most difficult to find. As I told Nate, when I first pulled it out of the package – I yelled and screamed at it for awhile and then quietly cuddled with it. LOL. Not only did Nate send me one of my most wanted Backstrom cards, he also sent me this Ovi numbered 008/100! Thanks again gr8 n8!
07/08 Artifacts Silver /100 & 09/10 SPGU Gold 008/100
I also smacked another off the Backstrom list…07/08 Artifacts Gold /50. The only Backstrom rookie year card still on my list is the Artifacts Blue /25. So if anyone can help a brutha out….LMK.
Another GIFT package – this one from David (mrdavey3784). It’s like Christmas in July! All of these JVR’s and a Chris Bourque Cup Rookie to top it off. The BAP patch is just crazy. Thanks David (kinda sorta – but not really – you know).

I managed to knock a couple Gagner cards off my wantlist: Artifacts Blue /25 and Going for Gold Number…
OH YEAH! My quest to get 21 JVR Ice Rookies…one other card was in my package from David –
JVR ICE ROOKIE (21st)

Now the final card…it is a doozy for me – I have been looking for this card for 4 to 5 years now and had never seen a single copy. I asked Nate to keep an eye out for a couple of Ovi cards for me since he is a master finder of cards. Sure enough, he sends me a link to an Ebay auction. I still don’t know if he located the card and asked the owner to list it or if it was just coincidence. I didn’t even see it on Ebay. I had grown so accustomed to seeing the regular version, I just skipped right over it when searching. Thanks again to GR8 N8 for helping me add this one to the Ovi collection:
