I noticed on the Beckett population report that a bunch of YG's have been submitted to Beckett for grading but just a few SP Authentic Future Watch cards have been submitted. Does anybody know why this is?

If your talking about 10-11 sp authentic, they can be a pain to grade, i know on 10 plus box i busted i only submitted 3 cards.Both Cowan and Lindback where the first gems and Kadri was the 3rd on 10 submited.
With the red colored border on the front, and red top and bottom on the back , it dosent take much to see a bit of white on corners or edges, bringing your hope down to mint.
Theyre always a pile of young guns submitted, just look at Sid and Ovie population, top picks reach the 1000`s submitted in a short term.There must be 10000 + YG`s floating of your favorite players compared to SPa.

07-08 SPA was a condition sensitive set as well.

Unlike YG, Future Watch cards are handled by players and get banged up in the mail or whatever form of delivery they use.
10/11 has the red border on the front and the back which exagerated every minor flaw.
07/08 was the same but with a border at the top and bottom
With all that said, I have owned several BGS 9.5 YG and after seeing the inconsistencies across the board I do not care for graded cards AT ALL.
Right now I have a Carey Price YG BGS 9.5 that has 9.5 on the corners even though 2 of the corners are just way too soft and white to be 9.5 and then I have a Cam Fowler 9.0 that has virtually flawless corners yet has an 8.5 grade for corners.

I am thinking of 10-11 SPA. So, the main reason they are not graded is that red strip on the right side of the card? Makes sense I guess. Are Young Guns in that much better shape as to why people don't get SPA graded?

Yup. Plain and simple, YG barely, if at all, get handled by humans. They go from the machine to the pack to the box.
The FW get shipped out to players, players then handle and sign the cards and then the cards are shipped back. Once UD gets them they are handled again and then sorted and inserted into packs.
Also remember that there are 999 copies of FW and thousands and thousands of YG, so the chances of finding a worthwhile copy of a YG are much much higher than a FW.
