WOW, I have heard about him but never seen him on tv. boy he calls it the way he sees it doesn't he.you sure don't get that kind of commentary
from espn hockey coverage. definately signing up for the year package

Grapes is the most ignorant, biased, loud mouthed sumbyatch on TV...and we love every minute of it.......I don't think there's anybody more outspoken about hockey than he is......he can really get ya pumped, for sure.....

They actually have to tape his segments with a tape delay now, so they can cut away from him if he says something to contraversial. He got in a bit of trouble for some of his comments a few years ago. Him and Ron McLean work well together on HNIC!!

That was for the 03-04 season. With his new contract, they had the 7 second delay removed. This was due to the fan support and 'Grapes!' promise not to be so controverisal!

Cause if you heard him this evening! He defended the use of visor's! Just not by 'Tough Players!'

Really...I didn't know they lifted it...GOOD!! I actually rarely get to see him anymore, as I work weekends, and Coaches Corner is over by the time I get home. However...do you really think Cherry can tone it down...lol. Why stop him, it's great for the ratings!!

PS - Thanks for the info on Superstars in Winninpeg langway05....I've been in contact with them a few times since then and they seem like real nice people!!

agree with him or not, he attracts attention (no matter how right or how much he's talking out of his behind) and its carried him all this time.

I hope he doesnt retire, Pierre McGuire is on the shortlist of replacements for grapes.
