I see a lot of people posting cards they recieved in group breaks done online. My question is why would you get involved in such a break.

I mean whats stopping this person who actually opens the cards and hits a HUGE card....for example a Sidney Crosby/Maklin dual auto shield from concealing it. They would simply keep the card go to the store and buy another case. Simple as that. They send the video of the second break and everybody thinks they got their fair share when in fact the person organizing it has all the upside in the world.

Just my thoughts...I would only participate in a group break that's done online.

They break it live on camera on websites such as BlogTV, not just post it on Youtube. I wouldn't trust the people who put theirs on Youtube but if someone says they're going to bust a case live, for example on a Tuesday at 8 PM, you can log on Tuesday, watch them bust it live on webcam, and know that there wasn't the ol' bait and switch you were eluding to. That is why I'd never trust people like that 07mears joker that runs his own website with some offshoot of pre-recorded group breaks on Youtube.

Exactly. I've been part of a football one for over two years and it's been fun. At times I've hit a decent card or two but mostly it fuels my team collecting needs as we open pretty much every product. I know they are illegal to do here though and frankly, unless you know everyone very well I'd be hesitant to join one.
