I purchased an Andreas Nodl GU stick a little while ago and just had a few questions. While all of the taping seems to match up to what he does, the only thing that has me a little concerned is that the stamp with his last name is spelt wrong. It is spelt Nodel. Now does the miss spelling on the sticks occur often. Now if it isn't legit I'm not too worried about it, got it very cheap.

I know sometimes guys put their nicknames on it, but it could be also a spelling mistake made by thecompany. In my mind it doesn't mean it's not legit.

Do you know his Nickname? Alot of players put there nicknames or intials on the sticks. Magnus Paajarvi put MPS on his sticks.
I saw a Mueller one on ebay about 3 months ago and I found out that he puts Eyes on the heels of his sticks. So maybe thats just something he does is puts "Nodel" on it.

Weren't there some Cup Property Of's... with names spelled incorrectly? If I had to guess, I would say it's legit. Heck, sometimes even nameplates on jerseys get spelled wrong.

I have a Kris Russell stick that says Rusty down it. Seems weird b/c Rostislav Klesla goes by Rusty a lot, but uses a completely different stick.

I heard that the manufacturers always mess up with Rob Davison's name, and accidentally always put Davidson.
I also noticed last year that the name on Cam Ward's stick is "Wardo"

Hope this helps!
I wouldn't worry about it i I were you.

Cheers!

Ya, I'm not too worried about it. I mean who would go to the trouble of faking a Nodl stick. Especially one from his rookie year when he was only a part timer. I'll show some pics when I get it back. (Gave it to a buddy who is going to the Flyer's Wives carnival in hopes of getting it signed)
