HAPPY OPENING NIGHT! I know some of your teams don't start play tonight, so that means that as of right now, 7:52 AM MST everyone is in First Place. As an Avalanche and a Blackhawks fan (more because of my wife and Khabibulin moving there last year) this makes me happy.

It might be the last time they are there all year.

I am even happier because not only are my Kings and Avs fan both in first place today, but my Mets play in the postseason for the first time in 6 years today and are the top seed for the first time in 18 years!

The only thing that could make this day more perfect was if the Kings played tonight as well!

I know what you mean about your team in the playoffs. I have two favorite teams in Baseball as well. The Crockies during the regular season and the Cardinals when the post season begins. My dad and I always call each other during the start of the playoffs and talk about this year being the year that the Cards get #10. It should be #11, but we won't talk about 1985 here.

The channel formerly known as OLN (changed its name to Versus) is showing the Sabres @ Hurricanes at 7PM eastern and Stars @ Avalanche at 10.
