My account switched over to eBay managed payments on 7/29. Seems like it's rolling out different on dates for different sellers. Just wondering how everyone is liking it so far?

I don't only sell cards so my experience may differ but so far over 2 days with about 25 sales, I have not had a single person use PayPal to make a payment. Makes me think that Paypal was not the preferred choice of payment for many to buy on ebay given that there are options now (and most people in the past probably used their credit card thru paypal). So I would anticipate that this feature makes buying on ebay even more accessible to a wider audience especially for those who don't want to use Paypal as the intermediary.

I have my account set to withdraw once a day, which to be honest, I had to call ebay because i'm on my 2nd day and the funds haven't withdrawn yet. I was told that even though I started on the 29th, my first day will technically begin the 30th, and will withdraw to my account tomorrow on the 31st. So we'll see how that works. I'm anticipating a 1-3 day delay between the time the money is paid out by eBay and the time I see it in my account, which kinda sucks because I had direct access to all my funds on Paypal immediately, especially with my paypal debit card. But once the daily deposits kick in and the cycle gets going, it shouldn't be an issue. Also, for those that purchase their labels through ebay, right before you create your labels there's an option to select paypal or to use your available funds in the managed payments to pay for the labels.

Also if I did the math correctly, I'm saving about 15% in my fees (or in other words I'm paying about 2% less than what I was paying before). I'm at about 11.5% in fees with managed payments, whereas previously with FVF + Paypal fees I was at about 13.5%.

Also, since FVF are taken immediately I don't need to worry about paying off a huge eBay bill at the end of every month, especially around black friday/xmas time. Those add up and if I don't budget wisely it becomes a headache.

So far I don't have any complaints, other than the fact my money is held hostage for about 24-48 hrs. I know some are worried about switching over, but I honestly did not notice any significant difference so far. I imagine those selling cards for less than $5 may have varying experiences as far as the fee structure goes. Most of my store items are no less than $25

This is supposed to roll into Canada later in the year. I'm not a fan. When I sell stuff I want the money in my PayPal instantly, not to my bank account in 2-3 days.

I was forced to register 2 weeks ago. But this week, I got a email from them stating sellers who list on different sites using different currencies cannot be switched over to managed payment yet. That's a good thing in my books.

I received the same message. Can't say I'm disappointed.

It is my understanding that if you leave it with ebay (the "Bank") and you purchase a item you can pay with what you have in Ebay "Bank" (similar to Paypal) without having to move $ to your bank account and then upload to Paypal from your bank. As for incoming payments, they go directly to ebay so you really don't know how people are paying other than you have $$. Fee's will be less by about 3% + no fee on the shipping costs. I haven't been contacted yet but I'm on both sites but I know others that have. Basically ebay wants to act as the bank and have people leave the money with them,no interest money for them.

I got my first payout today. Got an email around 3:30am PT that it was sent out and by around 11am, the money was already in my bank account.
