Have a couple hockey sticks to sell, probably on e-bay. Just wondering if anyone has ever shipped a hockey stick through the mail before. If so, how did you package it so that it did not get damaged?

I got heavy duty shipping tubes and cut two of them at an angle to protect the blade, wrapped the stick in bubble wrap, and used a ton of heavy packing tape. You will probably get dinged for an oversized package whether you use Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, FedEx, etc. You might want to take one in to the PO and get a shipping quote so you don't sell yourself short on the shipping fee.

i wrap mine in large bubble Bubble Wrap twice over, and then use heavy duty packing tape and wrap that around twice, the stick ends up very compacted and has 3-4 inches of bubble wrap on all sides protecting it.

its always worked for me and never have i had a complaint about it.

then i take 2 pieces of cardboard, enough to cover the blade, and i sandwich the blade and tape that over and write my addresses on the cardboard

What does that usually run for a price packed that way?
