Has anyone heard this about UD1

Just wondering if anyone else has heard the story about the shortage of UD1.
I am hearing that it has all sold out and that a lot of people did not get all that they ordered.And for those that missed the pre order on the stuff can expect to pay a whole lot more come Thursday afternoon.Just wondering if anyone thinks this might be a game to get prices up or is this a legitamate case.Thanks,Winston.

Perhaps on the hobby, it may be short but they'll make up for it on Retail quite easily.

The explanation I heard was that hobby shops were ordering way more than they would normally thus lets say in 03-04 UD made 3000 cases of Series 1 and Hobby shops as a whole ordered 2500 because that's all they felt they had a demand for. Now this year shops are thinking this stuff is going to fly off the shelf so they all bump up there order next thing you know it this year stores have a collective order for 4000 cases. UD sticks with they're 3000 cases that they planned on producing and thus a shortage. All it is, is over ordering. Now i'm sure most of you have either already heard something like this or knew this already but I had 10 minutes to kill

That's just distributor BS for them to hold back cases so they can sell them higher in a month or so. UD did it last year because of the lockout...too much hockey fever this year to pull that...
