made with the Alberta or Canada flag, that is on their jerseys shoulders?

Its been what? I think this is the 3rd season now that Calgary has had those Flag patches on their jerseys, i would think they should start showing up on cards by now? Maybe they have and i just haven't been paying attention? Anyone got one (Alberta flag or Canada flag) they can show off???

I was thinking the same thing earlier, I haven't seen one anywhere. I was hoping we'd see some in Ult Mem 9th though. I wouldn't be surprised if we say a Big red Maple Leaf on an Iginla soon.

Nope, not illegal in either country. The US has not been successful in reinstituting law since the Supreme Court struck it down in 89.

Country of origin cards Rings a bell. I do recall having a sakic country of origin card. Can't rememeber the year but I think it was ITG that made it.

It was 2001-02 BAP Memorabia and 2001-02 BAP Update that the Country of Origin (original, not 04-05 ITG Ultimate) cards were inserted. They were swatches from flag emblems that were used in All-Star games.

Yeah I remember those BAP then at the time country of origin cards, those used to fetch a pretty penny on ebay, too bad the patch window was small, but it had to be, the whole country patch was literally used for just the 10 cards of each player that were made. Because of that set, that puts the flag cutting up illegal argument to rest, I would like too see more cards with game used country flags in the future.
