Help me out with this McDonalds Wayne Gretzky Jersey Card

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for a little help. Was able to acquire this Wayne Gretzky McDonalds Jersey Card. Jersey is from the 1998 All Star Game.

Does anyone one know if any of these have sold lately and if so, how much?

It came with its own Upper Deck box, protective bag, a letter from Upper Deck and a COA. It is also in a heavy duty screw down holder. Here's the scans.

Again, any help would be great.

Very nice. Was that from the first year that McDonalds had hockey cards, I seem to remember an oversize Patrick Roy card from that set as well

I think the Roy was from 1994 and I know they had hockey cards starting in 90-91 from what I remember.

That might be the first year for GU cards though.

Wow that Gretzky is very cool, I have no idea what its worth. If you're looking to move it, I'd put it on ebay and see what happens. Could fetch some good coin.

But given how much more you might get on Ebay as compared to a private sale, I think the Ebay fees will be far less than the difference in sale price. Ebay does provide you with the largest market possible for the card.

I have picked up two of these. Both are the facsimile auto. One sold for $600 and the other was a trade value of $900. My feeling is the grandeur of the McDonalds set has lost its luster, being out of sight the last few years. Certain cards still carry a premium and this one may. Looking forward to your auction.
