Hi

i just sold a couple of high end cards recently on ebay, and of course i sent them using express post and insurance ....

and i am having trouble with one of the buyers .... basically he threatens me that he will just deny the package, and files chargeback on paypal .....

I was wondering if that is even possible ??

help

Tom

So he won and paid for the card, but doesn't want it?

not exactly, he won and paid, but complained about shipping time, basically came down to miscommunication b/w us

but that doesnt matter i suppose because he says if he is putting a chargeback on paypal, the reason will be "item not receive"

and as far as i know, he still hasnt accept the package

Has he communicated that to you on email? If he goes through with the chargeback, I seriously believe in payback in this case, especially if he keeps the card. If he does, I would get ready to file a complaint with the USPS, with your supporting documentation and file a mail fraud complaint against this piece of excrement.

Nothing screams hell like that. I should know, someone shafted me on a deal once, and the USPS made life and the mail a little difficult for a family because Jr. decided to keep one of my cards without sending me another in it's place. Those who know me closely are very acutely aware of my penchant for being petty and vindictive...

yep, we are communicating right now, what i meant by miscommunication is that he sent me a ebay message to my email, but i reply straight back to his email address ... so i guessed he hasnt got it

and just to make one thing clear, if he goes through with the chargeback he will just deny the package and have the package return to me

I'm with Art on this one.. Keepin' copies of the e-mail traffic will be most beneficial to your case against them.

Here's to it working out for you in the long run.

oh yea, this is part of the email

".......... i will just deny the package and it will be sent back to you and i will get my money back from paypal. i have already discussed this with my paypal account manager and he informed me if I deny the package (as in not open it and tell the post office i do not want it), I can file for a full refund thru paypal and will be granted it thru paypal buyer protection as in fine print it will come accross as item not recieved............"

Out of curiousity, what is his complaint about the shipping time? Is it a valid complaint?

Note: I don't agree with his methods.

Tom, unless you put signature required, he can't deny the package, it will get delivered to his house by the regular postman and will show as being delivered. So unless you requested his signature I don't see a problem for you. Unless he plans on laying beating on the postman before he drops it off;)

Log into your Paypal account immediately and enter the tracking information for this package. This covers you right away. If he denies the package, it will say so on Canada Post's website. If he receives it and files a chargeback, you'll be covered

yes it is, he said it took too long to arrive to his end .... and i already refund a portion of the cost to him, because the card is not mine, i dont really want any more trouble
