Help selling a high end collection.

Hello to HI members,
This is my first post. I am hopeful that this forum will help me at this time in my life.

I am a new member on HI and do not have any trades or sales. What I do have is a collection of mostly OPC Premier, UD Black, The Cup, and assorted higher end cards that I need to sell. The cards are modern from 2007 to 2010. The book value would be 8000+. Most cards BV from 20 to 250 each. Some not priced due to scarcity. I am willing to be very reasonable in my asking price and would prefer selling as a whole. I am just putting together a checklist of what I have.

My health is suffering and the cards need to be gone. I am not trying to be dramatic but this maybe a time sensitive issue.

If anyone can help facilitate a proper secure sale I would be greatful. I would offer someone either a few great cards or a small percentage of the sale for their help. I am relatively naive in the selling of anything online. I am willing to use the third party sales process or any other process to successfully sell my collection. I am located in Edmonton and would be willing to meet a nearby member to verify the collection.

Have you tried talking to the card shops in your area to see if they would be interested?

I echo Jeremy's sentiments. Regardless of what happens with your collection, I wish you the best for your health. Hopefully there are some local people who might be able to help you out. Contact one of the mods, as they may be able to act as a third party broker for you. And most importantly, try to get some clear pictures or scans. You won't be able to sell anything online without them.

So very sorry to hear about your health. The great members of Hobby Insider will definitely praying for you at this difficult time.

We have many very reputable members from the fine province of Alberta here, so I'm sure someone will be able to help you with a 3rd party transaction.

Best thing to do is make a list of exactly what you have for sale, and go from there. There are several guys on here that can do a large high end transaction with you, as long as it's beneficial to both parties.

You definitely came to the right place to sell your collection. The membership here is the best group of collectors anywhere on the internet. I wish you the best of luck. Take care! Troy
 
Thank you everyone for all your support.

I am going to be busy getting a collection checklist together and to start scanning pics. Big job but must be done. I have contacted the local cardshops and they have not been interested or very helpful. They were very helpful when I was spending thousands at their shops though.

Anyways, I do appreciate the responses. I will let the forum know how it goes.

Thanks Again for everyones post and offers of help. First time I posted. A little overwhelming. Lots of requests and offers of help. I was not prepared for the onslaught by having lists and scans.
I will update this thread in a day as to the status of how I will deal with the collection. Part out the collection (time) or keep it whole.

I hope everything works out and you can keep as much of your collection as possible..... I'd be interested in any Rangers cards and would gladly look through a Sale List as well. Take care
