Thanks to those of you who are ready to help out an amateur collector.

I've been collecting for a few years, and am looking for a high-end box. I want a box where I'll get at least 3-4 Autograph or memorabilia cards. My price range is $150 and down, and I would like a BOX rather than a pack (Ultimate or the Cup.) If theres a box out there that would offer a good chance at a high-end card, or likely that i'll pull a card that I could sell afterwards to gain back some of what I paid if I'm not satisfied. Hopefully you can make a recommendation.

Right now I'm looking into SPGU. However, from my research it doesnt look like its a box that tends to be good enough with any kind of turn-around-value if Im not happy or want something else.

if it were me, I'd go with SP Authentic, you're guaranteed on avg. 3 autos and you stand a chance at pulling a nice patch/auto as well. plus you've got all the big names in there, toews, kane, price, etc.

For me, there has never been beter value than 06-07 SP Authentic. Read up on it, and you will quickly see all of the potential it has....

To both: I actually purchased a box of 06-07 SP Authentic back in that year. I came out with a Gerber SOTT, Paille FW auto, and Kessel FW auto.

From what Ive looked up, SPA 06-07 has the most potential, but any SPA box isnt unlikely to leave you hanging.

Do you know where I could find one in the Toronto Area, or a reliable place online?

They are very up and down on the bay. Set a search and have it notify you.

I have had a good experience with Maple Leaf Sports on here; try him...

Reading your criteria and before I saw the replies I was going to say SP Authentic. If you could find a box of 07-08 SPX in your price range that may also be worth a shot.

Which SPA would you recommend?
06-07 Appears to be the most expensive, I dont mind sparing the 50 bucks if the odds are I'll be much happier.

06-07 SP Authentic is more popular as it has RCs from both the 05-06 and 06-07 SP Authentic releases. most of the time, a box of SPA will get you an auto'ed RC, a SOTT, and possibly a 3rd auto. 06-07 usually gave you an auto'ed RC from 05-06, an auto'ed RC from 06-07, a SOTT, and then possibly another insert.

I love 06-07 SPA but based on your post, you did not seem that impressed even though you got a Kessel auto! If you like risk, 150 can get you a box of UD Black online.

The Kessel was a good card, but its really all I got out of the box. Its not a card I would pay $110 for. I think SPGU would be fun because theres numerous hits, 1 per pack. But Im still uncertain.

I don't know if SPGU resells as well as 06-07 on average though... there autos are stsickered and the RCs don't sell as well compared to other high end stuff. Up to you though.

While I agree with SP Authentic, another way to go might be 06/07 Hot Prospects. One patch per box, I think 2 or 3 other memorabilia cards, and a chance at auto "hot packs", which is an auto only pack.
