Hi there, I have a couple thousand opc and score from a couple years back. my son has decided he wants to participate in these again, I remember hearing about French and blank backs, not sure if this is from one of these sets. are there any other harder to find parallels I should be looking for as I go through tem

we bought a ton of packs together, and he was supposed to go through them. that never happened, so I'm hoping to invigorate his hobby love again :D

any and all help is appreciated. there may not be anything in these but at least we will know

Thanks!

I opened quite a few boxes of 10-11 score and there were French backs that were quite rare in those. There it's also a 20 year anniversary parallel that is stamped on the front as well as a glossy parallel. Not too sure about 11-12 to 13-14 other than the golds, and As far as I know, the blank backs are only in opc. How that helps you out some.

OPC has blank backs each and every year going back to 2007-08

Score:
2010-11 has French Backs
2013-14 has Alternate Red Backs
my notes in Sets Ed don't have anything in the 2012 or 2013 sets that is a rarity to look for.

The French backs just had one line in French (if I remember correctly). Hard to spot, and they're really hard to find. I seem to remember claims they were limited to 5 or 10 copies each.

You can find a few of the French back cards listed on COMC.

Making them harder to find is the fact that I don't think a lot of people know about them. The only difference is that French line on the back, and if you're not looking for it, you're not going to know the card is any different. I had opened a few boxes of 2010-11 Score back then. When I heard about the French backs a year later I went through all of them again, and sure enough I had a Daniel Cleary French back that I had put in with my complete regular set. I'm guessing there are plenty of people who own one and have no idea.

not even kidding, the last card out of all of them was a steve mason French back

haahahahha o well at least I found one

:D
