ok, situation in summary:

i put in a bid on a very high end triple auto card. the card showed as having a reserve price, and when the bidding ended, it was a couple hundred dollars even over my bid. i just said 'whatever', and went along.

a couple days ago, i get a second chance offer on this card at my original bid. i'll say the card in book value is 700, and my bid would snap it up at an exceptional percentage.

here's the sticky part, he has sent me a second chance offer on my bid, but has attached a message stating:

Message from seller: The reserve price is below 1000 dollars. E-mail me your best offer and if it is within 100 dollars of my reserve, I will sell it. Reserve is even below 900 dollars. Good luck

is there still a reserve price on a second chance offer? what were to happen if i were to just buy the card at the price it offers me? i'll be honest, i almost just did it, but part of me said to get some opinions on it..

any feedback much appreciated , and if you're really really curious on the card, just pm me..

Tell him to walk west till his hat floats. Now he's trying to auction the card to you off eBay. Forget it.

but what i don't understand is if he understands that technically i could click buy it now at the price i originally bid..

as far as i know, a second chance offer doesn't have a reserve, it's a one price deal.. with what he sent as the seller's message, if i were to buy it now at the lower price, would he need to supply it (technically speaking, i know he'd never send it), nor would i actually pay via paypal and have to go through a claim later on..

and about the auction off of ebay, yeah, so it's either i buy it now at 35% and freak him out, or report him for doing that and hopefully that freaks him out..

i kind of want to click that button though :D

hey dude ... theres no reserve for a SC offer.

click it if he sent u the second chance offer and ur bid

he HAS to give it to u

if he doesnt, leave him a neg and screw him

the guy's an ***

now i'm being a ****, i emailed him and told him i thought it expired tomorrow, if he could send me it again..

if he re-sends it (if you can, not sure), i'll click on it and wait for a response, just to see him freak

Don't do this just walk away and let it go

You are now going out of your way to create a headache for yourself. I hope you don't start a thread about it looking for support when the card doesn't show up.
