I've been reading some amazing posts recently, with particular reference to Barrie's posts of his incredible PC. I've also heard that Steve and Mike G also have amazing PCs, as I'm sure many of the rest of you do as well (Lionel - I want that ****. Richard! Levi, you tease me with that Jim Craig ya big meanie!) So, it got me to thinking... what do these people do for a living that allows them (forces them?) to feed this card addiction that so many of us have? I know a bunch of you are students, which blows me away how you can delve into some of the higher end stuff like you do! So here's the question again... what do you do for a living?

I'm a real estate developer. I buy apartment buildings throughout Canada and turn them into condos. Have also done about 8 deals in Arizona and Washington State as well. Yes, I'm the big bad owner who kicks renters out on the street... sue me... it pays the bills! :p

I worked as an environmental technician in an aluminium smelter.

Right now, I'm lab technician speciliased in Atomic Absorption - Flame.

But, I'm looking into getting back in the heavy industry.

You still have the card in your signature... ugh... one of my major white whales and it's dangling RIGHT in front of me!!! :(:(:( hehe...

Meanie??? What are you talking about???????? lol

Air Force here, I work with all the diff. fuels that are used on base.

I'm a studen and currently unemployed. I'm in my last year at university and I just can't juggle school and work right now. I have the rest of my life to work.

I've had numerous jobs but primarily worked at gamebreakers and at a bank on and off for the last 4-5 years. Just saved up and buy the stuff I want... no opening boxes.

I dont work either :(

Only in grade 11 i guess, and just got too much stuff to do with sports and whatnot to work

Where does the funding come from then? Well id say a few main sources:

1. The folks shell it out if i ask nicely ;)

2. Birthday- boy, its only once a year, but my grannys really go all out :)

3. Once i have the money, i go out and buy a tin of the cup; bam, out pops Mr. Crosbys auto patch rc /99 (sold it of course :D)

4. The older bros credit card ;)

I'm not addicted. I can quit any time I want to.

Seriously. I just don't want to.

And in my spare time, I'm about 3/4 done my PhD in Analytical/Environmental Chemistry. If I work it out, they pay me about $4/hour. So I don't work it out very often. ;)

During the summer I work as a Gardener for the city. During the off season (i.e. now), I still work for the city a little bit in the arena setting up for special events, but its not often enough so I work full time in a health foods store to supplement my income.

I don't technically have a job, but in the summer I make $17.50 an hour helping out at the local football field. I also seem to be a pretty good businessman, so I buy stuff and sell it for more, therefore giving me more money to spend. It works for me :D

Mostly my job, I am a Prepay Analyst for the #1 company in the world :)
Also poker supplements my income very nicely and the odd time when I sell some items on Ebay.

I have one semester of college to go, but have already begun employment as a meteorologist (in training) with the National Weather Service, who I'll stay with for life.

What's this J-O-B thing you folks are talking about?

I get my study grant, circa $150, 9-10 times per year. Other than that, i keep flip-flopping cards. Never had a job, never needed the extra dough for some reason..I'm doin' just fine with what i've got right now.
