Doesn't seem like anyone started a thread yet for 2019, so here goes!

My 2018 goals:

1) Finish off at least 6 of my Young Guns sets that are sitting at >90% completion - made progress here across the board but got distracted by newer, shinier things...finished 2004-05 & 2013-14
2) Add to the Flames PC, focusing on RC's - yes!
3) Organize the Theo Fleury & Miika Kiprusoff PC's - like Bon Jovi, halfway there
4) Continue to whittle down the excess traders - pretty good progress
5) Stay within my budget - sad Price is Right horn

2019 Goals

1) Again - finish off 6 of my Young Guns sets that are sitting at >90% completion
2) Selectively add to Flames PC but don't get distracted!
3) Whittle down inventory via sales or trades
4) Stay organized - I let things get away from me over the summer while we moved into a new house
5) Should I even say stay within budget?? :brow:

For me I would love to find a game used jersey of Scottie Upshall when he played with the Milwaukee Admirals. That would complete a full run of game used jerseys of him for me.
From Junior to St. Louis which I think and hoping may be his last team.

2019, my focus will be on quality over quantity. I'll hunt for Odjick and higher-end Habs and Nordiques, work on finishing a few sets I started and reorganize my collection. I might be looking to move the lower-end part of my Oilers PC and a bunch of my traders. I slowed a lot on boxes, not much really catches my eyes, I'm mostly looking for discounted boxes from popular sets and retro breaks.

My hobby goals/resolutions from 2018:

1) Have fun! - DONE! :)
2) Help out my fellow collectors (and their awesome collections) when I can. - Done! I am hoping to help my fellow collectors track down cards for their PC's again this year!
3) Get the Enroth PC to 85% if I can. - Sadly, no, it's been tough. I probably should have aimed lower for 2018. However, due to some awesome deals to knock off a bunch of tough cards I never thought I'd ever own, I've made a ton of really great progress (more than I thought I would) and sit around 83% right now.

Now, here are my hobby resolutions for 2019:

1) Continue to pickup what I like and enjoy this hobby!
2) Keeping an eye out to help my fellow collectors with their PC's when/where I can.
3) Get the Enroth PC to 85% completion at some point and (hopefully) keep it.
4) Keep looking for reasonable prices on the Upper Deck 300 Win Club cards for my set. I'm currently at 11 cards, and I would love to get that number up to 16.

1. Finish my MVP PC, currently at 72/100, or at least get to 90%.

2. Add 1 big HOF RC such as Bobby Hull, Henry Richard or jacques Plante etc...

3. Get to 90 HOF graded rookies, currently at 81

Expand my Whalers collection:

- Brass Bonanza set
- Classics auto set
- Decades auto sets
- Unique memorabilia cards (ie Verbeek Anthology piece)
- more work on the custom Whaler project

Some real tough ones there, but why not aim high?

2018:
1) organize my cards since coming to CT 3 yrs ago. I have been doing this all along but have too many piles recently and unsorted broken boxes sitting around. started sorting the slabbed and sleeved out but another season started so that was a bit delayed. I did box up 10-800ct boxes, but then I bought more cards so I have to reorganize some of that
2) record my “goods” in flickr...also finish transferring from the bucket & reorganize the recorded collection.hahaha! Good one!!!
3) post on HI more. I have so many breaks that I have not posted since Nov ‘16 that I have a box and a half of the 1600 ct boxes that need to get recorded. That doesn’t include about 90% of the collection before that. Too many cards, not enough time. Lolsee #2
4) make more trades/sales from my collection. I have some stuff that someone will want.soon as I organize the sales will happen...(fingers crossed)
5) stop buying stuff from previous years. Too many times do I buy boxes from stuff that I “stopped” buying, leading to reorganize boxes or starting a spreaded collection out of many boxes...At least I have started to number and create a method of what is in the boxes. It helps a little.it doesn’t help that one of the dealers I go to only has older stuff...btw, yes, I have some good hits from those, see upcoming posts for those...eventually
6) stop buying so much. Sacrilege statement, I know, but I must cut down to help better the other things in life. I think I cut down a little but made some better investments...less lower end & middle, more higher, like Ultimate and even bought a box of The CUP...but still buying older stuff

For 2019: (rinse and repeat):stare:
