Hot boxes in SPGU again?

Does anyone know for sure if there are 1 hot box per 6 box case of SPGU before? This is the way it has always been so I doubt they would change it but who knows.....

No, he's not, he's referring to SPGU. In past year they've had rookie or auto hotboxes. I've heard nothing about continuance this year, Rob.

Stadium - I think he's referring to the 6-box minicases inside the master.

Historically (at least years I've bought cases) each 12-box case had two mini-cases, one with a RC hot box (6 RCs instead of 2) and one with a Memoribilia hot box (all mem/autos #d to 100 or less).

No clue if it's the same thing this year.

From my experience though, the hot boxes are nothing to really write home about.

Yes, SPGU. A 12 box case from a distributor consists of two sealed six box cases. Not so true Ryan, I pulled a Gretzky/Lemieux/Yzerman auto out of a hot box last year. Some are really good and some are so-so.

I never heard about any hotbox in UD product outside the UDS1/UDS2 Retail Victory black/Young Guns hotboxes.

Oh yes, they exist. Although, my experience has been that's there are usually 2 "better" boxes per 6-box minicase. Maybe that's why my lcs ordered a ton from the warehouse and only got loose boxes, not sealed cases in thier initial shipment to the store.....It's usually not that hard to pick the good boxes out of a sealed case. if you know what you are looking at...

Just opened 2 six box cases and got 1 in each case. They are pretty damn good. I will post my break later after work.

Its true there are two 6 box mini cases in a 12 box case and of course there are hot boxes like before... not sure on the ratio of hot boxes to boxes though

Sorry for the misunderstanding - we know they are sleeved (we go through cases of the stuff each year) - I was speaking to the ratio as last year we were seeing some sleeves with multiples and other sleeves with none.

I haven't busted SPGU since my brutal 07-08 "hot box", which consisted of 5 Authentic Fabrics /100, 4-5 crappy RCs /999 and...a dud pack with no GU or auto!

I know I wasn't the only one to have such bad luck. Has the product improved since?

Got 6 hot boxes in a 12-box case: 1 memorabilia and 2 rookie hot boxes in each 6-box mini case...

Some good stuff, although the RCs in the rookie hot boxes are usually not great.
