House Broken Into - High End Pieces Stolen

Hi Guys,

Wish I was posting under better circumstances, as some of you may or may not know is that I used to be a pretty big hockey collector up until 2007.

My house was broken into this afternoon and pretty much all my Higher end personal collection was stolen. If any of you happen to see any of these pieces on either ebay, or perhaps even locally in California (I live in San Jose). Please pm me.

There is a TON more missing but I haven't had time to go through whats all missing. They were in a hurry and left a lot of my collection but the Biggies above hurt the worst. I have called the local stores in SJ to keep an eye out and will check Craigslist and ebay but let's be REAL, I am pretty much out of luck. Just sending this out in case any one sees a INFLUX of older High End Orrs hit the market.

Sorry to hear about the break in - my thoughts are with you as we experienced the same thing here earlier in the year. It is a terrible feeling. I know for myself, it was the friends we have that kept our spirits up and we hope the same for you.

Break ins are such a terrible thing and it affect those who are victims and those who fear becoming potential victims.

We took great pride in the hits that came out of our little store and scanned most of them to show on this site. We have had to change that habit because some of our customers are now very concerned after hearing about their pulls in neighbouring card shops as they monitor this site. Our customers are now fearful about break ins in their homes.

It is unfortunate that society has become what it has become.

Sorry to hear man, I hope they catch that scumbag and you can get your stuff back. I'll keep my eyes open in the meantime when surfing eBay and other forums

Did you file a police report detailing all the cards stolen to help backup the fact that the cards are stolen property in the case they show the up on the market?

Best of luck on tracking everything down. Serial numbering on several of those pictured will help raise any eyebrows as to how/where they were acquired.

Man that really sucks, at least nobody was hurt. Heres hoping they get caught & actually face decent punishment. I hope they still have all your cards as well so they can be returned to the guy that actually worked for them!

L, Sorry to hear it.
Did they target just your cards - or other household items as well??
Perhaps you could put an email together - that contains links to some of these high end
items - and send it to Karvin at Panini and Chris at Upper Deck to possibly forward to their stores that they distribute to??? These items are way to noticeable to be dealt in a large lot and not raise suspicion. Also to the monthly show around you - can't recall the name (Frank's or something).

Hearing this makes me angry. Really sorry for this to happen to you and I know all too well how it feels to be robbed. The good news is the whole HI family is behind you to recover and when people say they will watch out,they will.

I'll copy those scans and make sure I keep a watchful eye out on all avenues they could be on the move. I hope the best for you Lionel.
