How did you get here?

Shane and Dan's conversation in another thread got me wondering how many of us made our way to the Hobby Insider website? Word of mouth? Recruitment? Find it on Youtube? Insider's Edge?

For me, Stephen Ho convinced me to register for the site in early '07, but my application got rejected because I didn't fill my last name into the form, which was what Chris (Vegaspuck) corrected me upon during the 2nd app.
 
heard about it over beckett... registered here didn't using my full name. got rejected... so i didn't bother with this site.

then, beckett went down to hell. so here i am.
 
I heard about it from Alan (rectanglez) and joined a few weeks before the beckett debacle.....sure am greatful I did, and it was good to see some familiar users on here as well
 
Vegaspuck used to talk about the site way back when on Beckett. Thats when i joined, it was back in 2005, maybe 2006 sometime.
 
I think I did a google search because I felt I wasnt getting anywhere with my collection on beckett. I think I registered and waited a few weeks then finally started posting.
 
Giving credit where credit is due, Chris (vegaspuck) recruited me. I know he did a lot of work pushing this site and trying to bring good folks on board (guess I had him fooled!).
 
Way back when on Beckett, Chris(vegas) mentioned it and I checked it out. At the time I was tired of the usual *$# on the other board, and HI was just what I was looking for.

Been here ever since!!
 
I went out for a night of drinking and found myself here the next morning, anyone know the way home?? Oh yeah, and dean (bto3105) convinced me that this was a great site with friendly people.
 
I believe i saw a mention of hobby insider when i was lurking into Kevin buckett.

I joined before the B exod, traffic wasent what it is now, i remmember beeing bugged by the only other member that was logged in.:eek:
 
I had made a few deals on Beckett with Sens555 who was a member here, and he recommended I join.

Very glad I listened to him and joined.

I was given a heads-up about the site by Levi (Sojuking75), who I met at my LCS, and Heidi (Lucky20), who I met at the only local card show. They both told me how much better this place was than Broke-ett and I eventually got off my can and signed up. Been a proud member ever since. :beer:
 
A few weeks before the disasterous switch over at Beckett, I heard about this place and signed up, but didn't really post. Then Beckett went down the pooper and I realized how awesome this place was.
 
stumbled over here from a google search, came here for good when the other site crashed and on good word from my buddy andrew.
 
We came on this site through word of mouth. BTO3105 (Dean), Ironman Indy (Geoff), Mavericksports (Andrew) suggested that we come on to this site. Now we are here, and enjoy every minute of it :)
