I haven't done one of these in a while. Simple question, On a scale of 0 to 5 with 5 being highest, how do you rate 2005-06 Sp Game Used? Poll attached and replies welcomed. Mike

depends how much you buy. get a couple packs or so you most likely won't get anything good, but if you get a case you are pretty much guaranteed a couple of mojos. from what i've experienced at least..

I gave it a 4. It has some of the cooler insert sets of the year so far, Auto Draft and STATscriptions, so that was a plus in my book.

Horrble, absolutely horrible. Unless you luck into a hotbox you're stuck with stuff that is nowhere near worth what I paid for the product. If it was priced around the same as Series 1 or 2 (ie - half the price) it wouldn't have been SO bad. That break still leaves a horrible taste in my wallet.

It's definitely for the more risk-takin' among us. Can't say it's the greatest rip, but definitely a good deal of fun. 4/5.

I did a case of it, didn't get the greatest outcome, but had a lot of fun opening it. This years set hasn't been the best SPGU set that has come out (I seem to like 03/04) and it is definitely not the worse. I would say 4/5 also.

The designs on the auto set and the game gear cards are brilliant. A lot of great swatches came out of these packs as well. So many great looking cards in this set. I didn't buy any packs or boxes (I ain't crazy now ;)) but I enjoyed scooping up some of the nicer pieces on ebay!

Nice design, but you often get far less than what you paid for.

I would be more attracted by Ultimate Memorabilia, because with SPGU, we often have the feeling that they are making GU to make GU, when ITG products have more researched and appealing themes for their GU stuff.

Some niece pieces, like triple patches, and all. But, there isn't a special theme or that little something that makes the stuff special.

2/5

Don't rip wax, so can't really judge in that matter. But the fact that Kiprusoff has 6 cards that are numbered 25 or under is a bit much for me to handle. Not to forget that the cards have a minimum of 2 other players, which means more people are wanting them... Oh well, happy with anything, if i manage to get some. :)

Strictly speaking from a collector standpoint, I think SP Game Used had some great looking cards. The GU Autographs are a bit icky with the sticker just kind of placed on the card and not really fitting in, same for the Autographed base /5. But...the Rookie Exclusive autographs are a great looking card for sticker autographs, and so are the statscriptions and Auto draft. I have seen some outstanding patches in this product as well.

Certainly would not have wanted to plop down the hefty tag for a box though, but I think we could say that about any product this year..there just isn't much bang for your buck out there.
