How is this possible?

It isn't - you only get the sheet framed with all the cards before it's assembled and cut up
 
It won't have them at all - it's just the sheet of cards that is printed. Still a very interesting piece though.

Although that isn't as blatant as the person selling the sheet redemption for the shield cards.
 
That's cool to know. So they make these cards, then add the piece then seal it with the back? Just trying to understand how cards are made.
 
yeah, i work for a company that does finishing work in the paper industry and we have made jersey cards before...

if you look at a thick card out of, per se, The CUp, youll notice it 4-6 layers of paperboard, usually around 20 point per. the back of the card is a 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 rectangle... followed by a few middle layers with a diecut square for memoribilia to sit, then the top layer is affixed after the mem. swatch is placed in.

these sheets that are framed are the uncut press sheets that are the top layer (fronts) of the cards.
