How many can I really get?

Well guys I am asking this question as I have hit a wall of late in my Meyer colection.

Althought there are some (3 I think) Meyer cup RC's avaliable in ebay stores (one at a stupid price) None have appeared on the bay for quite some time (1 month plus) and the two gold cup rcs that are currently up I am bidding on.

How many do you think it is realistic for me to get?

I have to accept that some will still be in tins and some will be in collectors hands never again to see the light of day.

I have yet to se the 1/1 but can hope it will arrive one day.

My totals for Meyer are as follows

Reg cup RC 79/249 non incomming

Gold cup RC 13/64 non incomming (2 on the bay)

Platinum cup RC 11/25 1 incomming

Black cup rc 1/1 0/1

So in total this brings me to:

103/339

or

30.38% of the total cup print run of his cards (excluding plates)

What do people think will be achievable in terms of how many more cup meyers I can get?

There's a guy who has about 60 Latendresse Cup RCs (not me), and I thought he was nuts. You're taking OCD to new heights!
Unless you have serious competition for Meyer stuff, I think you could probably get up into the 50% range within a year or two.

I know a guy who has 90 plus Pavelec Cup cards..... and there is only 249.... i fyou have the money and the OCD, keep it up!!

I think you should get as many as you can. GO FOR THEM ALL!!!!

How patient do you want to be? I say, hang in there and keep going as long as it takes. Its all the sweeter when one pops up. Some cards I've found I've waited nearly 10 years for them to surface. People get tired of stuff and it turns up eventually. I'd settle for nothing less than 100%!

I agree with rabbity. Mine has been a long sweet collecting carreer. I know nothing about this OCD thing others have mentioned, :| I just keep plugging away. The thrill is still there when I pull one and just as sweet when I trade for or win one of the cards I need. Keep on keeping on.

In my opinion, I would say go for 50% of the print run. That's a realistic goal given how many you have already. It'll be impossible to get all 249 as most are still in tins and in set collections. Good luck with your goal!
