Hi.

Time for another fun question.

How many people reuse padded envelopes?

I have noticed over the last few weeks I have been getting some reused envelopes. I wonder how many times a person can reuse an envelope?

Another question....

I know when I ship I ship in a bubble envelope. I have had a few that came in some sort of padded envelope. Are those ok to ship in?
Will the padded envelopes protect the cards like a bubble envelope?

Guilty as charged. I'm not asking for any shipping charge when I re-use a bubble mailer though.

I reuse them when I can, however not if I'm selling/charging for shipping either. I don't see any reason why it's a problem.

As far as the padded envelopes, I've never mailed anything in one, but have received them many times with no issues. You do have to be a touch careful when ripping them open, the "packing" sure can make a mess :)
 
I re-use bubble envelopes, but I also put them inside a brown envelope. I don't just put a label on top of another label and add to the collection of tape. The appearance looks clean from the outside.

I ship in padded envelopes to Canada when it needs tracking. For some reason they allow me to use those, but not bubbles.

I always recycle bubbles mailers. For many reasons. I am a firm believer in the environmental impact of waste so I try to use old ones unless they are absolute garbage. The second is cost, these things are damn expensive and three, I am inherently lazy, i don't want to go to the store to buy more.lol
 
Why throw them out when they can be re-used? I always ship in recycled envelopes, and I'm happy when I receive recycled envelopes.

Yea the first time I got one I ripped it open and started to sneeze. :(
It had so much tape on it I couldn't get at it the right way so I ripped it and made a mess.
I am sending a reused one, padded, today because I have to go re-stalk the bubbles. I tried to put a sticker over the other address and it wouldn't stick.
So I had to use tape....lol Think I had a bad time opening it...lol wait til he gets it. :)

i reuse them... my bubble mailers are about 7x7" that fit dvds. I save the bubble mailers I get (which are usually the smaller sized ones) and put the card in that, then put the small mailer inside the big one for added protection.
 
well if the mailers are pretty rough.. I just used them as card protection inside the new bubble mailer.. if the new bubble mailers isn't big enough for them to fit in.. i just cut the used one small enough to wrap around the cards. then put them in the new one.. Just for that extra padding.

Ive learned the hard way, if one is using confirmation when shipping. The mailers have to be a certain thickness at least here in the states with USPS. So adding that extra padding around the cards, Makes the mailer the right measurements. not to mention more protection.
 
I reuse when I can unless they have already been reused and I don't mind when I receive them.

I find that bubble amilers are not that exspensive ( I Pay $1 for 3 and then cut them in half ) So if I have new ones sitting aroudn I try to use thsoe but If I ran out. I throw 4 X 6 sticky label on it and it covers everything up and looks great to

I use a bubble I received, throw it into a regular brown envelope. Those regular browns are a fraction of the cost of new bubbles, and the card is still protected by the bubble inside, so it's all good. The appearance on the outside is clean, no leftover custom stickers or addresses or stamps, stuff like that.

I use new bubbles for sending to Europe (typically), if there are many cards, for sending high-end stuff, or for sales.
 
I like to recycle them - good for the environment and saves me a few bucks along the way. If I can get the package to open with relative ease and no tearing, I just slap a sheet of paper over top of the old address info and start fresh. I shudder to think how many bubble mailers are sitting in garbage heaps!

I usually buy flat manila envelopes and a roll of bubble wrap for stuff I ship out. I wrap the card in bubble wrap and put it in the envelope. But in the last 8 months or so I have been saving up incoming bubble mailers and using them in place of the bubble wrap. Works pretty well.
 
I don't re-use but that is just me. I feel much safer that it will get to its destination if it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
 
I usually wreck the things getting the cards out. I have no problem when people send them to me though. Card is safe...end of my cares.
